Nature’s Flame is located in Taupo producing high quality wood pellets to be used to fuel industrial boilers and domestic heaters. Due to the high demand an expansion to the plant was required and this included new shavings building, mechanical plant to store and feed wood shavings into the plant, upgrade to the hammer mills, pellet presses, dry store, utilities and materials handling.

 Artifex was contracted to manage civil, structural, mechanical, OEM package equipment, fire, and explosion scopes.

Very little out of the norm downtime was incurred as much of the work was able to be prioritised and planned to fit into Nature’s Flame’s planned scheduled downtime windows. There was great collaboration between the various designers and contractors meant it was a project that all involved enjoyed working on.
